It took 4.5 billion years to form earth and the systems of nature with its current environment to become the beautiful planetoid we now know and love. The only planet we've ever called home.

So that being said I find it rather ironic in the state of cosmic affairs that it's apparently an equal amount of time 4.5 billion years till it's inevitable destruction when the sun explodes.

That's some rather hectic and bewildering checks and balances in the cosmic calendar.

Just an observation...

This means that right now the sun has already depleted half of its supply of nuclear fission.

We are literally alive right in the middle of the suns lifespan. I find this amazing.
